Tools, Platforms & Survey Systems

I design and deploy digital data collection tools that support rigorous research, program monitoring, and policy-relevant analysis across social, health, labor market, and development contexts. My work combines methodological rigor with practical, field-ready implementation, structured across three levels:

1. Design

I develop survey instruments and digital tools tailored to research and program needs, ensuring alignment with study objectives, local contexts, and technical standards. This includes:

  • Crafting structured household, institutional, and community survey tools.

  • Designing modules for quantitative and qualitative data collection.

  • Integrating complex skip logic, validation rules, and offline functionality.

Example Tools: CSPro, KoboCollect, SurveyCTO

2. Quality Assurance

I implement rigorous checks to ensure that data collection tools and processes meet high standards of quality, ethics, and security. This includes:

  • Testing and reviewing survey instruments before deployment.

  • Embedding validation checks to minimize errors during data collection.

  • Ensuring consent, privacy, and data protection standards are followed.

Example Tools: CSPro for multi-module household surveys, SurveyCTO dashboards for real-time quality monitoring

3. Deployment & Insights

I manage the field deployment of digital surveys and translate collected data into actionable insights for policy, program design, and accountability. This includes:

  • Deploying mobile and offline-ready surveys in rural and urban contexts.
  • Monitoring real-time data collection and troubleshooting field challenges.
  • Synthesizing data into clear outputs to inform evidence-based decisions.

Example Tools: KoboCollect for mobile field surveys, SurveyCTO for secure monitoring and evaluation
